Limits of the database
reports:
These database searches include information on all campaigns that filed reports
electronically, all state level candidates, all statewide ballot initiatives committees,
and a few local races from 2000 to present.
Tips on searching for information:
Since campaigns do not necessarily identify contributors consistently (e.g. William
Smith could be Bill Smith, the Boeing Corporation could be Boeing, etc.), we recommend
you search as broadly as possible for contributions given by specific contributors.
