National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws NORML - Citizen action complaint - failing to register/report as a political committee (PDC Case 13-016)(Oct 2012)

On September 27, 2012, a 45-day Citizen Action Letter (Citizen Action Complaint) was filed by Steve Sarich, Arthur West, John Worthington, and Saroj Sidhu pursuant to RCW 42.17A.765(4) with the Washington State Attorney General, King County Prosecuting Attorney, Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney, and Thurston County Prosecuting Attorney, alleging that NORML-National, NORML-Washington (NORML-WA) and NORML-Pierce County have violated provisions of RCW 42.17A by failing to register and report as political committees for their support of I-502.

NOTE: This case has been on hold since December of 2012, pending the outcome of a lawsuit filed by the complainants in Thurston County Superior Court. This matter is presently in the Washington State Court of Appeals.
