Description

The complaint alleged that Nancy Backus may have violated RCW 42.17A.235, .240, .400 and 405 by: (1) failing to accurately and timely file Campaign Summary Receipts and Expenditures reports (C-4), and several Monetary Contributions reports (C-3); (2) failing to report an in-kind contribution; (3) accepting an over-limit contribution; and (4) failing to refund the over-limit contribution within 10 business days.

Staff determined, in this instance, failure to timely refund an over-limit contribution within 10 days and failure to timely file C-3 and C-4 reports does not amount to an actual violation warranting further investigation.

PDC staff is reminding Nancy Backus about the importance of refunding over-limit contributions within 10 days and filing accurate and timely reports in future years in accordance with PDC laws and rules.

Based on this information, the PDC finds that no further action is warranted and has dismissed this matter in accordance with RCW 42.17A.755(1).
