#36726
Michael Manus
Jeff Pittman
On June 5, 2018, the Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) received a complaint alleging that Michael Manus, an incumbent County Commissioner for Pend Oreille County in the 2018 election cycle, may have violated RCW 42.17A.205 for failure to timely file a Candidate Registration report within two weeks of political campaign activity.
PDC staff reviewed the allegation, including applicable statutes, rules and the reporting requirements and found that the evidence submitted by the complainant does not support/substantiate the complainant's allegation that Mr. Manus started campaigning in 2017 and therefore should have filed the Candidate Registration in 2017.
Based on this finding staff determined that, in this instance, no evidence supports a finding of a violation warranting further investigation.
Based on this information, staff dismissed this matter in accordance with RCW 42.17A.755(1).
