Krebs, Ronald (3): Alleged Violation of RCW 42.17A.555, .320 for using public resources to assist a political campaign by wearing an agency-owned law enforcement uniform for campaign purposes and for failure to include sponsor identification in political

This is one of four complaints filed against Ronald Krebs, the incumbent San Juan County Sheriff and a candidate seeking re-election to that office in 2018.  The four complaints alleged that Sheriff Krebs, may have violated: (1) RCW 42.17A.555 by using the public facilities of San Juan County, including his official uniform and county assigned vehicle, to assist his candidacy in 2014, and his re-election efforts in 2018; and (2) RCW 42.17A.320 by failing to include the complete sponsor identification on political advertising sponsored by his Campaign.

Sheriff Krebs completed a Statement of Understanding (SOU) and paid a $150 civil penalty on September 19, 2018, in order to resolve two of the allegations listed in the complaints filed against him.
