NOTE: The PDC is aware that users who are running a version of Windows 10 released in fall 2017 could encounter problems trying update their contacts in ORCA. To fix the problem, please update to the latest version of Windows 10. Microsoft has instructions about how to check for updates here.
ORCA (Online Reporting of Campaign Activity) is the PDC provided software for online filing of C1, C3, and C4 campaign finance reports. This includes supplemental reports such as schedule B, C, and L.
ORCA is campaign management software that you download and install on your computer.
*Please note that every computer is slightly different. You will have additional steps other than the ones listed below. The ORCA Setup Wizard will walk you through most of the process. Your computer may prompt you to take additional action.
ORCA will most likely open automatically when it is done loading. If it does not, you can find it on your C: drive. You can see what version you have in the top left corner of the page after the update. You should have version 1.113.
Some installation tips are here. ORCA for Windows is compatible with Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Later. Older versions of Windows may work with ORCA but they have not been tested by the PDC.
You may need to go to your “downloads” folder to finish the installation process. When ORCA is open, you can see what version you have in the top left corner of the page. You should have version 1.113.
If you have an older version of ORCA it is most likely in your “Applications” folder.
Some installation tips are here. ORCA for Mac OS is compatible with Mac OS X 10.9 or Later. Older versions of Mac OS X may work with ORCA but they have not been tested by the PDC.
In addition to the PDC provided ORCA, the following third parties campaign management solutions can submit reports online to the PDC. If you are interested in a campaign management solution, please contact the vendors directly.
