This complaint was filed with the Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) on January 11, 2018. The complaint alleged that Lynda Wilson, an incumbent State Senator and a candidate seeking re-election to that office in 2016, violated RCW 42.17A.220, .235 and .240 by failing to file the Monetary Contributions reports (C-3 reports) and Summary Full Campaign Contribution and Expenditure reports (C-4 reports).
PDC staff reviewed the allegations in light of PDC laws and rules to determine whether a formal investigation or enforcement action is warranted. Staff reviewed the Monetary Contribution reports (C-3 reports), and Summary Full Campaign Contribution and Expenditure reports (C-4 reports), filed by the Lynda Wilson Campaign and the response letter from Lynda Wilson.
Staff found that Lynda Wilson failed to timely deposit four contributions totaling $3,150. Although the four deposits were between one and 17 days late, staff found no evidence of a material violation that would require conducting a more formal investigation or pursuing enforcement action.
Case dismissed with a reminder letter.
