To add a news item, perform the following steps:

  1. From the admin toolbar, expand ContentAdd content, and then click Slideshow.
  2. In the Title field, enter a title for the slideshow item.
  3. In the Caption field, enter a caption. Note: The caption should be brief, like a heading. Use the following field to answer the question posed by the caption or further expand on the topic.
  4. In the Caption Text field, enter text that is supportive of the caption previously entered.
  5. If you want the slide to link to another page on the site, then in the Link URL field, enter the URL to the page.
  6. Use the Sort Order dropdown to influence the order in which the slide will appear in the slideshow.
  7. Under Image, click Add new media item or Add existing media item to attach an image to the posting.
  8. If ready to publish the slide, ensure Published is checked. If left unchecked, the slide will be created and will be visible to other site editors, but not normal, unauthenticated site visitors.
  9. Click Save.
