Creating a User Profile in the Electronic Application
Someone who will be filing reports for lobbyists and/or lobbyist employers must get access to the electronic filing system, which requires a Secure Access Washington account Once access is established the new filer will need to set up a user profile in the MyPDC system. If the filer has already set up a user profile, please proceed to one of the next steps to either set up a new lobbyist/firm or to link an existing lobbyist/firm or employer.
- Go to the electronic filing system for lobbyists and lobbyist employers. Click on “file” on the Lobbying tile.
- If this is the first time you are setting up a lobbyist profile, you will be prompted to choose whether you are filing for a lobbyist or a lobbyist employer. If you’re filing for both, you will have an opportunity to register another firm using the register button.
- This will take you to a screen allowing you to search to see if the lobbyist you’re filing for is already in our system. If not, pick not found.
- Fill out the lobbyist record, including the name and address of the lobbyist. Click submit request and PDC staff will verify your information before you are to go any further.
- If you want to be connected to more than one lobbyist, click "Add Another.” Add as many people as you need to file for under your existing user profile here. CAUTION – only add those for which you will be filing monthly L-2s reports for that lobbyist.
- After PDC staff have verified your request to register a lobbyist, the individual or firm’s name will appear under the heading “Lobbyists I file for.” Click on the name to continue the registration process.
Go to the “Agents” tab and click on the +Agent button. Complete the form and upload a recent picture. Every lobbyist or lobbyist firm must have at least one agent; an individual working alone is their own agent. Add as many agents as you need.
