Description

A complaint was filed against the Washington Association of Nurse Anesthetists (WANA) alleging violations of RCW 42.17A.640 for failure to timely disclose grass roots lobbying advertising expenditures and identify the sponsor of a grassroots lobbying campaign on those advertisements.

WANA completed a Statement of Understanding acknowledging violations of RCW 42.17A.640 and paid a $300 civil penalty for failing to timely disclose grassroots lobbying advertisements and for the failure to include the required sponsor identification information on grassroot lobbying advertisements sponsored during the 2024 legislative session. PDC staff has dismissed this matter in accordance with RCW 42.17A.755(1).
