On the date below, the Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) will hold a Brief Adjudicative Proceeding (Brief Enforcement Hearing) in accordance with RCW 42.17A.110 and RCW 42.17A.755 to determine if you violated RCW 42.17A.235 by failing to timely file the mandatory one or more pre-primary expenditure and summary reports (C-4).
Under the Brief Enforcement Hearing rules, the Presiding Officer has the authority to assess a civil penalty in accordance with WAC 390-37-143, a penalty schedule adopted by the Commission (see enclosed copy). If you are found in violation for failing to file the required report, be aware that you also are required to comply with future C-4 deadlines, including file the post-primary report due Sept. 10 and the three reports under the general election C-4 schedule, and PDC staff is prepared to recommend the presiding officer include suspended penalties that will become due if you fail to timely file any of these required future reports.
Attendance at the hearing is encouraged but not required.
