Description
The complaint alleged Citizens for Good Governance PAC may have violated RCW 42.17A.305 by failing to timely file an Independent Expenditure (C-6) report disclosing Committee expenditures made during the 2021 Election for electioneering communications, specifically a mailer that opposed Mary (Peggy) Shepard, a 2021 candidate seeking re-election to the office of Mayor of Snoqualmie.
On February 10, 2022, the PDC received a completed Statement of Understanding (SOU) acknowledging a violation of RCW 42.17A.305 for failing to timely file an Independent Expenditure (C-6) report. The Committee paid a $150 civil penalty in accordance with WAC 390-37-143 (Brief Enforcement Penalty Schedule), which resolves the issue.
PDC staff found no evidence of material violations requiring additional enforcement action in this matter. Based on this information, the matter is dismissed in accordance with RCW 42.17A.755(1).
