Description

The Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) has completed its review of the complaint filed by the Washington State Democrats on January 31, 2018. The complaint alleged that Robert McCaslin may have violated RCW 42.17A.235 for failure to timely report contributions and expenditures, and RCW 42.17A.220 for failure to timely deposit contributions.

Based on our findings, staff has determined that in this instance, failure to timely file reports of contributions and expenditures does not amount to, a material violation warranting further investigation.

PDC staff is reminding Bob McCaslin about the importance of the timely disclosure of all contribution and expenditure activities, including the filing fee, and the timely filings of all future PDC reports, including C-3 and C-4 reports.

The PDC has closed the matter, and will not be conducting a more formal investigation into the complaint or pursuing further enforcement action in this case.
