Description
A complaint was filed against Carl Torkelson, alleging violations of: (1) RCW 42.17A.320 for failure to include Sponsor ID on an independent expenditure mailing made by Torkelson Construction, Inc. in opposition to Proposition One, a Selah Park and Recreation Service Area ballot proposition on an August 1, 2017 primary election ballot; and (2) RCW 42.17A.260 for failing to timely file an Independent Expenditures report (C-6 report) disclosing the independent expenditure mailing.
In lieu of PDC staff scheduling a Brief Adjudicative Proceeding (Brief Enforcement Hearing), Carl Torkelson completed a Statement of Understanding acknowledging the violations listed above, and paying a $300 civil penalty to resolve this matter.
