Description
The complaint alleged that two political committees that share the same officers and principal decision-makers, Truth for Washington, a continuing political committee formed in 2010, and Working Families of King County, a political committee that registered with the PDC in 2016, violated RCW 42.17A.225, .235, and .240 for failing to timely file required C-4 reports and Last Minute Contribution Reports (LMC reports) disclosing contribution and expenditure information, including independent expenditures. On July 6, 2018, Working Families of King County completed a Statement of Understanding (SOU), acknowledging two violations of RCW 42.17A.235 for failing to timely file two C-4 reports, and paid a $300 civil penalty in accordance with WAC 390-37-143 to resolve the matter.
