Dear Eric Flavel:
The Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) has completed its review of the complaint filed by Eric Flavel on July 9, 2018. The complaint alleged that Jon Carman may have violated RCW 42.17A.700 for failure to timely file the F-1 Personal Financial Affairs Statement for the 2018 and 2013 election cycles.
Based on our findings, staff has determined that in this instance regarding the failure to file an F-1 report, no evidence supports a finding of a material violation warranting further investigation.
The PDC has closed the matter, and will not be conducting a more formal investigation into the complaint or pursuing further enforcement action in this case.
