Description

On February 18, 2024, the Public Disclosure Commission received a complaint alleging that Chelsea Dimas (Respondent), a candidate for State Representative in the 14th Legislative District, Position 1, may have violated RCW 42.17A.235 and .240 by failing to timely and accurately file contribution and expenditure reports, as required by law.  

PDC staff reviewed the allegations/complaint and determined that the Respondent failed to timely file contributions and expenditures reports. As a candidate registered with the PDC under the Full Reporting option, the Respondent was required to file timely C-3 reports for each deposit made in the previous month and a C-4 report covering the period through the last day of the previous month(s). The reports were due on January 10, 2024 (covering the period through Dec 31, 2023), February 12, 2024 (for deposits made in January 2024), and March 11, 2024 (for deposits made in February 2024). 

Based on the above determination, the PDC staff issued a formal warning letter to the Respondent in this matter and dismissed the complaint in accordance with RCW 42.17.755(1).
