On April 6, 2024, the Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) received a complaint alleging that Big Sisters of Whidbey (Respondent), an anonymous group in Island County, may have violated RCW 42.17A.320 for failure to include proper sponsor identification on political advertising.
PDC staff reviewed the allegation and the attached exhibit to support the alleged violation and found that the Respondent in this matter failed to include the statutorily required sponsor identification on political advertising in question/at issue in this matter. Based on this finding, staff issued a formal written warning to the Respondent regarding the importance of including the proper sponsor identification information in all future political advertising.
