Case

#157173

Respondent

Taki Flevaris

Complainant

Glen Morgan

Description

Based on staff’s review, we found the following:

• The Campaign failed to timely file a C-4 for May 2024.

• Upon being informed of the missing C-4 on July 23, 2024, the Respondent’s campaign filed the missing report the same day. The only activity disclosed on the report was an in-kind contribution by the Respondent in the amount of $2,173.91 for the Respondent’s filing fee.

• The Respondent was a candidate for King County Superior Court Judge. As a Superior Court judicial candidate who drew no opposition, the Respondent was automatically confirmed as the winner and no election was held.

Taki Flevaris made minor or ministerial errors on required reports which did not materially harm the public interest. Taki Flevaris made the necessary technical corrections within 2-14 days of being notified by PDC staff.

Staff also determined that any violation regarding the timeliness of reporting was minor and has been cured.

Under WAC 390-37-060, the executive director, at any time prior to consideration by the commission, may dismiss a complaint which on its face, or as shown by investigation, provides reason to believe that a violation has occurred, but also shows that the respondent is in substantial compliance with the relevant statutes or rules, or shows that formal enforcement action is not warranted. The executive director must report at each regular commission meeting all complaints dismissed.

Based on this information, the PDC finds that no further action is warranted and has dismissed this matter as a technical correction in accordance with RCW 42.17A.755(1).
