Description

On August 1, 2024, the Public Disclosure Commission received a complaint alleging that the Respondent in matter may have violated RCW 42.17A.235 and .240 by failing to timely and accurately disclose contributions and expenditures, and RCW 42.17A.490 for using contributions for a different office without donors’ permission.

PDC staff reviewed the allegations in the complaint and found that the Respondent failed to timely and accurately disclose contributions and expenditures when he transferred contributions from his 2022 race for State Representative to the 2024 race for State Senate.

Based on these findings, staff determined that the deficiencies found based on the review of the complaint did not warrant further investigation. However, staff issued a formal written warning to the Respondent.

Accordingly, the PDC dismissed this matter in accordance with RCW 42.17A.755(1).
