- Capitol City Press: Alleged violation of RCW 42.17A.345 & WAC 390-18-050 for failure to provide inspection of commercial advertiser books of account (NOV'23 EY'23)
#145373
Capitol City Press
Robert Parker
The Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) completed its review of the complaint filed on Nov. 8, 2023. The complaint alleged that Capitol City Press may have violated RCW 42.17A.345 and WAC 390-18-050 by failing to provide inspection of commercial advertiser books of account.
PDC staff reviewed the allegations and evidence you submitted; the applicable statutes, rules, and reporting requirements; and response provided by the Capitol City Press to determine whether the record supports a finding of one or more violations.
Staff determined that, in this instance, the failure to respond to the inquiry and provide inspection of a commercial advertiser’s books of accounts does not appear to be a violation that warrants further investigation.
PDC staff is reminding Capitol City Press about its responsibility to respond to all email requests made to its published emails addresses. The company was also provided information on its responsibilities in regard to political commercial advertising.
Based on this information, the PDC finds that no further action is warranted and has dismissed this matter in accordance with RCW 42.17A.755(1).
