Description

On February 23, 2024, the Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) received a complaint alleging that Andrew Koeppen (Respondent), a Precinct Committee Officer (PCO) with Grant County Republican Party Central Committee (GCRPCC) and the chairperson of a breakaway faction of the GCRPCC, may have violated RCW 42.17A.205 by creating a splinter committee and soliciting contributions for the said committee without registering the committee with the PDC, as required by the statutory scheme.

PDC staff reviewed the allegations/complaint and determined that the Respondent failed to timely file a candidate registration (C-1pc report). The Respondent in this matter accepted contributions from the public and made expenditures without filing a Committee Registration (C-1pc report) with the PDC.

Based on the above determination, the PDC staff issued a formal warning letter to the Respondent in this matter and dismissed the complaint in accordance with RCW 42.17.755(1).
