Case

#157995

Respondent

John Gentle

Complainant

Steven Haroldson Minnich

Description

The complaints alleged John Gentle may have violated RCW 42.17A.235 and RCW 42.17A.240 by failing to timely and accurately file Cash Receipts Monetary Contributions (C-3) reports and Summary Full Campaign Contributions and Expenditures (C-4) reports and RCW 42.17A.320 for failing to include complete sponsor identification on political advertising.

Staff has determined that, in this instance, the failure to timely and accurately report expenditures and contributions and the failure to include complete sponsor identification on political advertising does not amount to a violation that warrants further investigation.

Pursuant to WAC 390-37-060(1)(d), however, John Gentle will receive a formal written warning concerning the failure to accurately and timely disclose contributions and include complete sponsor identification on political advertising.

The Commission will consider the formal written warning in deciding on further Commission action if there are future violations of PDC laws or rules.

Based on this information, the PDC finds that no further action is warranted and has dismissed this matter in accordance with RCW 42.17A.755(1).
