2026 campaigns: PDC adds evening classes to pre-primary training lineup

June 03, 2026

In July, the Public Disclosure Commission will offer two evening classes in an effort to reach filers, such as candidates, committee officers or treasurers, who may not be able to attend during the working day.

Both classes will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on:

  • Wednesday, July 8 - Walk-Through: Online Reporting of Campaign Activity (ORCA),
  • Thursday, July 9 - Disclosure 101: Candidates and Committees

Please register in advance. All of the PDC’s trainings are free, virtual sessions. A link will be emailed to you the day before the meeting.

In our Walk-Through: Online Reporting of Campaign Activity (ORCA) class, PDC disclosure specialists will give participants a tour of the PDC’s online filing system, focusing on campaign registrations, contributions and expenditures. This class is for full-reporting campaigns, which will file regular reports throughout the election year.

In Disclosure 101, candidates and committees will learn about the rules and laws they will have to follow in reporting contributions and expenditures, political advertising, and more. We strongly recommend taking these classes to reduce the risk of reporting errors.

Classes on these topics are scheduled at least once per month throughout the year. See other available dates and times at the link above, or see more training information online.

PDC staff are also available during business hours for assistance with reporting at (360) 753-1111 or pdc@pdc.wa.gov
